They just don’t make them like they used to!
One of my favorite things that our city has to offer is the Atlanta BeltLine. The Atlanta BeltLine Running Series, which hosts various 5k/10ks throughout the year has a running club that meets once a month and is open to the public. This month’s running club is meeting at Loca Luna on Thursday 1/10/13 at 6:30pm. This is a great opportunity to check out the BeltLine, meet new folks and get a little workout in. Oh, and I’m pretty sure there are tapas and drinks at the end! For more info on the running club, check out their Facebook event page, Atlanta BeltLine Run Club.

Can you believe the weather we’re having? Even though some days it seems like the weather can’t make up its mind, we are absolutely spoiled to be experiencing gorgeous days like this with a high of 60 degrees at the end of January. This is the view from my office in Midtown and, honestly, it couldn’t be a more perfect weather day! I remember my first January in Atlanta (almost 20 years ago); I don’t think I saw the sun the entire month! And, for a girl from Miami that was a pretty dismal and depressing existence. Certainly, not the case today. We are supposed to have a gorgeous weekend…get out there and soak up some rays, get your vitamin D fix and let’s enjoy it while we’ve got it 🙂 I just remembered that after that first bleak January, March gave us a blizzard. Here’s hoping that doesn’t happen again!
One of the things that makes Atlanta so unique is that it’s a city comprised of small neighborhoods; each with its own look, characteristics and flair. Check out the AJC Homefinder’s Neighborhood Tool to get more insight into each distinct neighborhood. How does your neighborhood compare?
