Piedmont Park is growing and becoming more accessible to its northern boundary neighbors.
One of my favorite things that our city has to offer is the Atlanta BeltLine. The Atlanta BeltLine Running Series, which hosts various 5k/10ks throughout the year has a running club that meets once a month and is open to the public. This month’s running club is meeting at Loca Luna on Thursday 1/10/13 at 6:30pm. This is a great opportunity to check out the BeltLine, meet new folks and get a little workout in. Oh, and I’m pretty sure there are tapas and drinks at the end! For more info on the running club, check out their Facebook event page, Atlanta BeltLine Run Club.
In an article from Inman News that identifies the hottest markets for out-of-area house hunters, Virginia-Highland has been named of one of the “best kept secret” neighborhoods in the country, according to Trulia. Trulia identified the zip codes in different cities that were searched the most by locals over non-locals. In Atlanta, that would be 30306! Other notable neighborhoods around the country include Key Biscayne in Miami, Logan Circle in Washington DC and West Town/Wicker Park in Chicago. Not bad Va-Hi, not bad!
One of the things that makes Atlanta so unique is that it’s a city comprised of small neighborhoods; each with its own look, characteristics and flair. Check out the AJC Homefinder’s Neighborhood Tool to get more insight into each distinct neighborhood. How does your neighborhood compare?
